What to expect

The Retail Capability Coordinator is a key member of the Retail Capability team, responsible for contributing to the delivery of functional objectives, always modelling the Post Office behaviours and demonstrating a Postmaster First mindset. Acting as an advisor, the Retail Capability Coordinator will demonstrate their expertise in driving success and support for Post Office branches, following best commercial and operational practices. This role can be based atBristol, Chesterfield or London (Wood Street)with hybrid working arrangements available.

Working closely with the Retail Capability Planning Team Lead, the Retail Capability Coordinator is responsible for allocating field-based capability resources to ensure the right level of support is provided to operators and branches across the network. They will coordinate pre-go-live and early days support activities, maintain accurate records using CRM and workflow systems, conduct readiness checks, and ensure all training and support activities are scheduled and delivered in line with agreed processes and standards. The role will also support Peer-to-Peer Postmaster activity, quality assurance processes, stakeholder communications, and risk management activities to help deliver successful branch go-lives and operational excellence.

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrable experience in a scheduling, administration, operational support, or coordination environment. In addition, you will possess:

  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Experience using CRM systems, workflow tools, or case management systems would be advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook and Teams
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships
  • Confidence working with data, identifying trends and recognising potential issues or risks
  • A proactive and solution-focused approach to problem solving
  • The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, field teams and wider business stakeholders to achieve business objectives
  • Resilience and flexibility when responding to changing business priorities
  • Proven experience following established processes and delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment
