Operations Associate - Inside IR35 - Glasgow - Hybrid

Day Rate - up to £180

Duration - 12 months

Harvey Nash's FS Client are looking to bring in a contract Ops Associate, you will be onsite 3 days per week in Glasgow, sitting within the Ops team, you will carry out tasks such as:

The role will form part of the SFTR team and the primary responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in project readiness tasks to ensure the firm is able to meet its ongoing transaction reporting obligations.
  • Overseeing controls to ensure the complete, accurate and timely submission of transaction reporting requirements
  • Monitoring and resolving transaction reporting exceptions through working closely with other internal and external stakeholders including the Business Unit, Security Settlements and Corporate Actions teams, among others.
  • Provide subject matter expertise when working alongside the trade desk and colleagues across Operations when determining the reporting impact to new business and product initiatives
  • Monitor trends in reporting exceptions in order to identify root cause and resolve exceptions at source
  • Monitor KRI and KPI thresholds to ensure the team is maintaining risk and performance standards
  • Ensure all Written Supervisory Procedures, Process Maps and System access requirements are up to date
  • Involvement in BCP transference testing and ensuring knowledge dilution in Glasgow and Bangalore is minimized
  • Working with key stakeholders to identify and create efficiencies in daily processes
  • Provide operations support for IT developments

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • 3 years + experience
  • Run the Bank or Change the Bank experience preferred
  • Middle Office is a busy role therefore essential the successful candidate can add immediate benefit
  • Previous experience of Securities Financing industry is not essential but preferred though experience in investment operations will provide a solid foundation upon which to learn the required skills in order to be successful
  • The role will provide a number of opportunities to work stakeholders across the organisation so a proven track record in relationship management is required as is experience of managing process, risk and controls.
