Carnforth Temp-to-Perm £13.50 per Hour 30/40 Hours per Week

We're recruiting for 2 Operations Assistant to join a growing food production business based just outside Carnforth. Due to increased demand and continued growth, the business is looking to appoint a permanent member of its team, with the successful candidate initially joining on a temporary basis before transferring to a permanent contract. Having visited the site personally, I was genuinely impressed by the team, the working environment, and the business itself. It's a friendly, supportive company that produces high-quality food products supplied to major UK retailers, and due to securing additional supermarket contracts, demand for their products has increased significantly.

The Role

Working across a variety of production and packing areas, you'll be responsible for:

• Operating packaging machinery.
• Placing products into bags and preparing them for packing.
• Sealing packaged products.
• Packing finished products into boxes for dispatch.
• Loading packaging materials into machinery.
• Stacking and preparing boxes ready for distribution.
• Rotating between different workstations throughout the day.
• Supporting the wider team to ensure production targets are achieved.

Working Hours & Pay

• £13.50 per hour
• 30/40 hours per week
• 3/4 days per week
• 8:00am to 6:00pm
• Days worked between Monday and Friday
• Two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch break

This role offers an excellent work-life balance, allowing you to achieve full-time style earnings whilst working only three/ four days per week.

• Previous production, warehouse, manufacturing, retail or hospitality experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

Full training will be provided.

Additional Information

To maintain food safety standards, all employees are required to wear PPE, including:

• Hairnet
• Protective overalls
• Shoe coverings

Temp-to-Perm Opportunity

This role is being recruited on a temporary-to-permanent basis. The successful candidate will initially join through Reed before moving onto the client's permanent payroll following a successful probationary period.
