Job Description
Operations & Maintenance Engineer - HVDC (Aberdeen) 
Location: Aberdeen (Hybrid - minimum 3 days in office)
Our client is looking for an Operations & Maintenance Engineer to join the team in Aberdeen, supporting the development of O&M deliverables for a major HVDC converter station and associated offshore platform.
Key Responsibilities- Provide day to day support to the Project Lead and the Operations & Maintenance Focal Point.
- Create and develop Operations & Maintenance Manuals for an HVDC converter station.
- Build Preventive Maintenance Plans (PMPs) for the HVDC offshore platform.
- Review, analyse, and comment on OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) documentation.
- Develop critical spares lists aligned with maintenance requirements.
- Work to planned schedules and provide progress updates to project leadership.
- Use maintenance software/CMMS tools to support maintenance development activities.
- Work independently while collaborating effectively within a multi discipline team.
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders involved in the O&M process.
- Maintain effective communication with clients across all offices.
- Demonstrate strong time management skills in a busy project environment.
- Participate in hybrid working arrangements (3 days office based).
- Undertake training as required.
- 5-10 years' experience in Operations & Maintenance roles.
- Awareness of key offshore platform systems and equipment (advantageous).
- Strong O&M fundamentals, with experience in maintenance development.
- Experience within Energy or Renewables sectors beneficial.
- Competent with Microsoft Office and able to organise meetings (Teams & face to face).
- Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain effective internal and client relationships.
- Strong communicator with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Minimum HNC in a relevant engineering discipline.
