Job Description
Operations and Improvement - Managing Consultant - Process Optimisation in Financial Services

We are seeking an experienced consulting leader to develop, lead, and drive our Operational Excellence and Process Improvement capabilities for Banking and Wealth & Asset Management clients within the Financial Services sector.

The Managing Consultant will play a key role in:

  • Building core Operational Excellence and Process Improvement capabilities in Financial Services, leveraging deep expertise in methodologies such as Process Design & Optimisation, Operational Excellence Transformation, Process Digitisation, and Service Optimisation.
  • Maintaining a steady pipeline of Operational Excellence / Process Improvement opportunities to meet revenue and sales targets.
  • Contributing to the development of highly tailored proposals, closing deals and winning new business.
  • Leading, managing and overseeing implementation programmes of Operational Excellence and Process Improvement.

Key expertise required:

  • Operational Excellence: operations management, change management or technology delivery background.
  • Process Improvement methodologies - Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt).
  • Operational Optimisation - Lean/Kaizen.
  • Process redesign/governance and digitisation (Celonis, AI).
  • Project & Programme Delivery (PMP, Prince2, Agile).
  • Automation - AI, RPA.
  • Customer Journey & Operational Performance transformation.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Experience delivering operational improvement across front, middle and back office service areas.
  • Proven leadership of assignments and teams, and a track record of realizing tangible business benefits.
  • Deployment of advanced techniques such as digital technologies, cost improvement and change management.
  • Strong leadership skills in large, diverse project teams and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Creative and innovative solution delivery.
  • Sales experience delivering continuous revenue, high client satisfaction, and securing follow on projects and referrals.
  • Experience working independently, developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and delivering high customer service standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, comfortable navigating across finance systems, service design, governance, workforce modelling and operational excellence.

Preferred:

  • Track record of delivering high quality transformation programmes and managing delivery engagements.
  • Experience scoping, pricing and planning commercially sound programmes.
  • Steering, managing and governance of programmes/teams.
  • Prior consulting experience with a large consultancy firm or internal consultancy function.
