Job DescriptionWorking closely with the Artistic Director & wider JAM team, the Operations & Administration Manager will help keep the organisation running smoothly across operations, artist liaison, systems, fundraising support, communications & event delivery. No applicant is expected to arrive with proficiency in every area of the role.
Working pattern: 4 days per week, 9am - 5pm; hybrid, (2 days in King's Cross & 2 days from home)
Position: Freelance
Rate: £125 per day (equivalent to £25,200 pa)

JAM is not looking for someone who already knows every system or every part of the job inside out. Substantial training will be provided on the job & the successful candidate will be supported by an experienced team.
We are looking for someone with the motivation & adaptability to learn quickly, ask good questions & grow into the role.
What matters most is a willingness to learn, strong instincts for administration, sound judgement, the ability to work with care, energy & initiative.

Desirable:
- Experience working in an arts, charity, education or events environment.
- Experience with CRM systems, ticketing platforms, email marketing platforms or database management.
- Interest in contemporary music, cultural projects or artist development.
- Experience supporting fundraising, reporting or compliance processes.
- Operations & Systems Management: JAM database (CRM); Donor, audience & artist records; Mailing list segmentation & reporting; Digital filing & document control.
- Compliance & Governance: Charity Commission reporting; GDPR "Safe Workplace" documentation; Contracts & agreements; Risk assessments, licenses & compliance; Safeguarding & DBS documentation.
- Events & Festival Delivery: Ticketing system oversight & reporting; Audience data capture & reconciliation; Artist logistics & scheduling; Front-of-house coordination; Venue liaison & documentation.
- Communications & External Coordination: Composer development; Mailchimp; Performer & community liaison; Social media.
- Fundraising & Grant Support: Grant applications, supported by JAM team; Submission logistics & documentation; Funding pipelines & deadlines; Reports & evidence; Fundraising data dashboards.
- Donor & Relationship Support: Donor cultivation, liaison & tracking; Gift Aid documentation.
