The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an experienced SIPP/SSAS Pensions Administrator to join a well-established and growing financial services organisation in Liverpool.

This role would suit someone with hands-on experience administering Self-Invested Personal Pensions (SIPPs) and/or Small Self-Administered Schemes (SSASs) who enjoys a varied operational workload and takes pride in delivering accurate, efficient administration.

You will support the day-to-day operation of SIPP/SSAS pension schemes, working closely with advisers and internal teams to manage operational changes, maintain records, resolve queries and keep cases progressing within agreed timescales.

Previous SIPP and/or SSAS administration experience is essential. Applicants without this experience will not be shortlisted.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process operational changes relating to SIPP/SSAS pension schemes, ensuring records are accurate and up to date

  • Administer adviser changes and Terms of Business agreements, completing the required checks and documentation

  • Manage work queues, shared mailboxes and outstanding cases, prioritising workloads to meet service standards

  • Respond to queries from advisers, clients and internal stakeholders, investigating issues and coordinating resolutions

  • Support complaint administration and investigations, maintaining clear records and monitoring relevant deadlines

  • Identify and escalate outstanding information, operational risks and issues that could delay cases

  • Follow internal procedures and applicable regulatory requirements across all administration activities

  • Support quality assurance, audit and compliance reviews

  • Contribute ideas to improve processes and the service provided to advisers and clients

About You

You will have:

  • Previous hands-on SIPP and/or SSAS administration experience - essential

  • Experience working within a regulated pensions environment

  • An understanding of the administration processes and documentation associated with SIPP and/or SSAS schemes

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines

  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accurate record keeping

  • Clear communication skills and confidence dealing with advisers, clients and colleagues

  • A proactive approach to resolving queries and keeping work moving

Experience with complaints administration, Consumer Duty, FCA requirements or adviser relationship support would be advantageous.
