Exciting Opportunity for an SC Cleared IT Engineer - Reading (12-Month FTC)

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Onsite Technical Support: Provide first-line technical support for desktop computing and corporate IT services, including troubleshooting and resolving issues with PCs, laptops, tablets, printers, and other peripherals.

• Installations & Set-ups: Install and configure IT hardware, set up new users, and ensure systems are properly configured and functioning.

• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, working both remotely and onsite to ensure minimal disruption to operations.

• Documentation: Maintain clear and detailed documentation of technical support activities, following client and vendor procedures.

• Vendor Certifications & Compliance: Stay current with relevant vendor certifications, ensuring compliance with best practices and safety guidelines, especially around electrostatic discharge (ESD) and IT equipment handling.

• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, working directly with end users to ensure a smooth IT experience.

Key Requirements:

• SC Clearance is a MUST: Only candidates who hold current SC Clearance will be considered for this position.
• Location: This role is based in Reading, so proximity to the area is essential.
• Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
• Contract Type: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (with potential for extension)
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 16:30 (excluding Bank Holidays)
