Oncology Healthcare Lead (OHL)

Reports to: Oncology Healthcare Manager

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and driven individual for the Oncology Healthcare Lead (OHL) position. The ideal candidate excels at simplifying complex challenges and thrives in a matrix organization.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to enhance your customer-facing skills while leading initiatives that ensure patients receive optimal treatment. You will play a crucial role in our aspiration to become a trusted and leading partner in Oncology.

This role involves being a member of a field team, and covers the territory of: LONDON

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Insights and Strategic Planning:

    • Analyze the regional healthcare environment, stakeholder dynamics, and brand priorities to tailor collaborative opportunities across our Oncology portfolio.

  • Opportunity Assessment:

    • Identify and evaluate collaborative opportunities within Integrated Care Boards, Cancer Alliances, Academic Health and Science Networks, and Hospital Trusts to improve treatment rates and foster strategic partnerships that align with customer priorities.

  • Oncology Strategy Development:

    • Utilize insights to shape franchise strategy and identify opportunities for collaboration with the NHS.

  • Project Management:

    • Assess and implement methods and strategies to deliver "triple win" projects, leveraging advanced project management skills to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Budget Notifications:

    • Deliver Advanced Budget Notifications in alignment with strategic initiatives.

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Healthcare Knowledge:

    • In-depth understanding of the regional health economy and public health priorities to identify business opportunities and risks that inform strategic planning.

  • Project Management Expertise:

    • Strong organizational skills to ensure the timely delivery of initiatives against agreed outcomes.

  • NHS Landscape Acumen:

    • Comprehensive understanding of the NHS and broader health landscape, with the ability to translate this knowledge into actionable insights for the business.

  • Strategic Decision-Making:

    • Ability to independently make trade-off decisions to align products/services within the portfolio while developing and implementing strategies.

  • Leadership and Collaboration:

    • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coordinate and leverage relevant capabilities to meet customer requirements and achieve business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Experience:

    • Extensive relevant working experience in healthcare/life sciences/pharma or a related field.

  • Education:

    • A degree or master's level qualification in a relevant discipline.
