RoleReed Talent Solutions are hiring in Midlands Super Hub! We're looking to recruit an Onboarding Specialist to join our Service Delivery team and support one of our key clients. Reed supply flexible and temporary workforce solutions through Angard Staffing to Royal Mail sites all across the country, managing year round recruitment as well as seasonal peaks. The start date for this role is 17th August. This is a fixed term contract until November 2026. Shift pattern: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm, 5 days a week.
What is an Onboarding Specialist?As a Registration Specialist, you will be working as part of our candidate onboarding team, supporting candidates throughout their registration journey and ensuring they are fully prepared to begin work with the Royal Mail Group. This is a fast-paced, structured and target-driven role where you will be responsible for contacting candidates, scheduling registration appointments, managing candidate flow, conducting registrations, supporting candidates through the process, and ensuring all compliance requirements are completed accurately. The Registration Specialist will play a key role in managing candidates through the onboarding process, ensuring they complete all required checks, profiles, and documentation so they are compliant, correctly registered, and ready for deployment.
What you'll be doing- Contacting candidates by phone to arrange and schedule registration appointments
- Managing candidate arrivals and the flow of candidates attending registrations
- Coordinating walk-in candidates and ensuring they are supported through the registration process efficiently
- Conducting face-to-face candidate registration appointments
- Supporting candidates with registrations where required, providing guidance to ensure they complete the process accurately
- Checking and verifying candidate documentation, including right to work requirements
- Guiding candidates through the correct criminal record check application process, ensuring they understand the required steps and submit their application accurately
- Ensuring candidates provide accurate information and complete all required onboarding steps
- Creating and maintaining candidate profiles on internal systems
- Updating APIs and internal tracking systems with accurate registration outcomes and candidate progress
- Monitoring candidates through the onboarding journey and following up where required
- Ensuring candidates become fully compliant and ready for work
- Managing a high volume of candidates while working towards daily and weekly registration targets, KPIs, and SLAs
- Maintaining accuracy and compliance across multiple systems
- Experience within customer service, recruitment, administration, onboarding, or another candidate-facing environment
- Confident communicating with candidates over the phone, online, and face-to-face
- Able to manage high volumes of candidates in a busy environment while maintaining excellent service standards
- Strong communication skills with the ability to guide candidates through detailed processes clearly
- Excellent attention to detail and confidence reviewing important documentation
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple candidates at different stages of the process
- High level of computer literacy, particularly with MS Office and internal systems
- Confident, proactive, and committed to delivering outstanding candidate experience
