As a Guest Onboarding Consultant - Toast's version of an Implementation Specialist - you partner directly with restaurant owners to bring their Toast platform to life. Working alongside the Core Onboarding Consultant, you specialise in onboarding Toast Modules, guiding customers through configuration, setup, and go live preparation. You'll manage multiple onboarding projects at once, acting as a trusted advisor who combines product expertise with project management skills to deliver a seamless experience. What you'll do (Responsibilities)- Leverage your Toast product knowledge and project management skills to partner with restaurant owners during the Onboarding phase before Go Live.
- Conduct consultation meetings with customers, walking them through Toast's guest-facing modules (e.g. Online Ordering, Toast Tables, Loyalty, Gift Cards, Catering & Events, etc.)
- Create best practices for managing daily restaurant operations by enabling restaurant owners and staff to utilise Toast modules.
- Consult with clients to determine configuration needs before go live and communicate any unique needs to the wider project team.
- Raise requests on behalf of customers when technical issues arise during onboarding.
- Act as a product expert and trusted advisor, answering customer questions and troubleshooting issues during the onboarding journey.
- Observe Toast best practices and document any deviations from best practices identified during the design phase of the project.
- Share process knowledge and product expertise with the wider team.
- Leverage the Toast product configured to their business and workflow with a focus on operational efficiencies that positively impact the guest and staff experience.
- Manage several onboarding engagements simultaneously.
- 3+ years of experience in a role responsible for customer satisfaction and business operations or restaurant industry experience.
- Success operating independently and navigating competing priorities in a constantly changing environment.
- Proven track record of success in meeting and exceeding goals.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and influencing skills.
- 1+ years of experience using a POS (Point of Sale) software, ideally in the service industry.
- Experience working in the tech industry or for a SAAS company.
- Training, teaching, or development experience.
