We are now looking for an On-Call Manager to join us in a key out-of-hours leadership role.

The Role

This is an out-of-hours position covering evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, up to 39 hours per week. Reporting to the Area Manager, you will be the first point of contact when things need to move fast, keeping care running smoothly for our clients when the main office is closed.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and supporting the on-call phone holder team, including recruitment, training, and performance
  • Overseeing rosters for both the on-call phone holders and the on-call carer team
  • Responding to urgent queries from carers, clients, and families
  • Handling last-minute scheduling changes and emergencies as they arise
  • Escalating and documenting incidents and complaints appropriately
  • Liaising with operational teams to ensure continuity of care
  • Acting as primary backup for the on-call team when needed
Who We Are Looking For

You are calm under pressure, confident making decisions independently, and comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-moving environment. You will have strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to quality care.

Experience in a similar on-call or out-of-hours role, scheduling or rostering, or a background in home care or community care will be a distinct advantage.
