Title: Ocean Import Operator

Location: Dublin 9

Terms: Full-time permanent, office-based, Mon-Fri, normal hours

Package: €40-45k + Benefits

Target: 2 years of experience in ocean imports & customs

A global multimodal freight and logistics company based in Dublin 9 now seeks an experienced and highly competent Ocean Import Operator to join a busy and successful team, with expert knowledge in their mode and a solid freight forwarding work history.

What you will do

• Effectively manage all procedures involved with ocean imports (ocean essential; ocean exports useful; can train for air)
• Customs entries using Thyme IT - extensive experience and knowledge required
• Deliver excellent customer service to all stakeholders
• Generate leads and grow the existing client base

What you will bring

• Minimum 2 years experience in a start-to-finish ocean import freight forwarding role
• Extensive experience and knowledge of Irish import customs entries
• IT proficient, ideally CargoWise Certified Operator/Specialist
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of ocean import procedures
• Excellent communication and complaint resolution skills
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver high quality, on-time work
• Great work ethic, conscientious, punctual, able to follow direction from business leaders
• Right to work within Ireland without a time-based restriction
