- Experience in OCEAN working for a freight forwarder is essential
- Sound understanding of freight forwarding operations and logistics capabilities for ocean import & export
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to interact at all level
- Managing reports and providing clients with regular updates on costs, opportunities and contract performance
- Import documentation experience
- Customs clearance documentation experience would be advantageous
- Coordinate sea freight quotes and bookings from initial request through to final delivery, selecting the most suitable services and routes
- Source and review supplier rates from carriers, NVOCCs, co-loaders and overseas agents, ensuring accurate pricing and margins
- Arrange collections, book cargo, and monitor shipments through key milestones while keeping customers and internal teams informed
- Prepare and check shipping documentation, support import/export customs clearance, and issue booking confirmations or arrival notices when required
- Maintain accurate operational records, resolve service or supplier issues, and build strong relationships with carriers and overseas partners
