Job Title: Senior Ocean Export Specialist (Ocean Freight - FOK)

Their Rotterdam office is a key hub for ocean freight operations, and they are seeking an experienced Senior Ocean Export Specialist to join their dynamic team.

Role Overview:

The Senior Ocean Export Specialist will be responsible for managing and coordinating ocean export shipments, ensuring smooth operations, and delivering exceptional service to clients. Expertise in Freight of All Kinds (FOK) is essential for handling diverse cargo types while maintaining compliance with international shipping regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end ocean export shipments, including documentation, booking, and coordination with carriers, ports, and partners.
• Handle general cargo including DG cargo, OOG, reefer, and other specialized shipments.
• Ensure compliance with INCOTERMS, customs regulations, and international shipping laws.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and overseas offices to provide seamless logistics solutions.
• Optimize routing and cost efficiency while maintaining service quality.
• Proactively resolve operational issues, delays, or discrepancies.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvements.
• Maintain strong relationships with shipping lines and service providers.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Ocean Export Operations within a freight forwarding company.
• Strong expertise in FOK (Freight of All Kinds), including dangerous goods (DG) and special cargo.
• In-depth knowledge of INCOTERMS, Bill of Lading (B/L), customs procedures, and documentation.
• Familiarity with Rotterdam port operations and major shipping lines.
• Proficient in logistics software (e.g., CargoWise, SAP, or similar).
• Fluent in Dutch & English (Another European languages are a plus).
• Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
