Job Description
Locum Occupational Therapist in Home First Team, Wareham, Dorset, earning up to £35.00 per hour, hourly.

What you will do:

  • Support hospital discharges and discharge planning, ensuring seamless transitions for patients

  • Deliver reablement-focused Occupational Therapy interventions that promote recovery and independence

  • Complete comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments in community settings

  • Collaborate effectively with health and social care partners, building relationships with multidisciplinary agencies and professionals

  • Manage a community-based caseload and perform home visits across Dorset

  • Contribute to positive health and care outcomes, maintaining accurate records and case documentation


Requirements:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy with HCPC registration

  • Minimum 3 years of post-qualified UK Occupational Therapy experience

  • Experience in hospital discharge pathways and reablement services

  • Knowledge of Occupational Therapy frameworks and practice models

  • Understanding of psychological and human development theories

  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams

  • Access to a car and a willingness to travel across Dorset

  • Enhanced Adult DBS and Right to Work in the UK

  • Experience within Home First services and community Occupational Therapy

  • Experience working across health and social care systems
