We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Nurse to join our Occupational Health team. We are looking for an individual who is committed and passionate about occupational health and providing and delivering a high-quality service that meets the needs of our clients.
You'll be joining a team consisting of experienced nurses and an experienced and supportive administrative team, which values and respects all of its team members and the wider university community it serves.
We provide a comprehensive OH service to staff of the university, students on specific courses and other external organisations and pride ourselves on being a friendly, supportive, customer focused and forward-thinking service, committed to the professional and personal development of its staff.
As an Occupational Health Nurse, you will,
- Report to the Occupational Health Clinical Lead, working alongside the rest of the team to provide the highest standard of clinical care and advice to our clients.
- Be responsible for the delivery of immunisation programme for Health Care students.
- Undertake health clearance assessments for all staff joining the university and students on specific courses and offering advice relating to their fitness for the posts and courses applied for as well advising on any reasonable adjustments.
- Undertake relevant health surveillance assessments for staff in accordance with Health and Safety Regulations and university policies/guidance.
- Possess sound knowledge and interest in issues affecting wellbeing in the workplace and engage in health promotional activities.
You will be an experienced Nurse (RGN), registered with the NMC and hold GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent, together with excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams and Excel.
Demonstrating a high level of clinical knowledge and skills applicable to a wide spectrum of occupational health practice, you will have experience of delivering vaccinations or undertaking venepuncture or be willing to undertake training to carry out this work within the first 6 months of employment.
