Location: Doncaster (Hybrid working available)Contract: Permanent Full-time (Part-time considered)
Salary
£40,778 - £45,092 per annum, plus up to £4,000 market enhancement (pro rata for part-time)
The Role
An established public-sector organisation is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join a well-regarded in-house Occupational Health service. You will be part of a supportive, multi-disciplinary team delivering a proactive, professional and high-quality occupational health service to a diverse workforce.
This is an excellent opportunity for an OH professional who enjoys case management, health surveillance and playing an active role in workforce wellbeing and health promotion.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver health surveillance, health assessments and pre-placement assessments, providing clear and objective fitness-for-work advice
- Manage occupational health casework, offering practical, evidence-based guidance to managers and employees
- Provide professional advice on work-related health matters including rehabilitation and workplace adjustments
- Work collaboratively within the OH team and with external providers such as counselling, physiotherapy and OH physicians
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives and promote proactive health and wellbeing strategies
- Support the development and maintenance of clinical standards and safe, effective nursing practice
- Ensure compliance with professional standards, legislation and organisational policies
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Registered General Nurse (RGN)
- Proven occupational health nursing experience within complex or unionised environments
- Strong case management experience with up-to-date clinical knowledge
- Experience delivering health surveillance (including HAVS T3), health assessments and pre-placement checks
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and maintain excellent documentation
Desirable:
- Experience within public sector or large, complex organisations
- Experience contributing to service development or wellbeing strategies
- Familiarity with electronic case management systems
