Hours:36 hours per week over 4 days
Contract: Permanent, all year-round
Working hours: Between 7:30am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.
We are looking for aLevel 3 Early Years Practitionerto join our small, friendly team.
We are a private day nursery caring forup to 36 children per day, and because of our size, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoysvariety, flexibility and working with children across the full 0-5 age range.
This isnot a fixed room-based role. You will have the opportunity to work across ourbaby, toddler and preschool rooms, gaining experience with different ages, stages of development and areas of the EYFS.

Your role may include:
- Working within ourbaby room, supporting our youngest children with their care, routines and development
- Working within ourtoddler room, supporting children's growing independence, communication and emotional development
- Working within ourpreschool room, supporting school readiness, learning and development
- Providinglunch coverto allow other members of the team to take their breaks
- Supporting colleagues across the setting where additional assistance is needed
- Helping with daily routines and transitions
- Supporting mealtimes, sleep routines and personal care
- Contributing to activities and continuous provision
- Completing observations and supporting children's individual learning and development
- Building positive relationships with children and their families
- Carrying out general nursery duties to help maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment
Because we are a small setting,teamwork is extremely important. Everyone plays their part in ensuring the nursery runs smoothly, and you will have the opportunity to get to know children and colleagues across the whole setting.
Working PatternThis is a36-hour-per-week role over 4 days, workingyear-round.
Working days and hours will be provided4 weeks in advanceand will fall between our opening hours of7:30am and 6:00pm.
We are looking for someone who isgenuinely flexibleand happy to work a mixture of shifts and across different rooms according to the needs of the setting.
Attendance BonusWe recognise the importance of having a reliable and consistent team in early years.
We therefore offer anattendance bonus of £0.50 per hour.
Where an employee hasno sickness or absence days during the relevant month/pay period, an additional£0.50 per hour will be paid for all hours worked within that qualifying pay period.
This is in addition to your normal hourly rate.

About You We are looking for someone who:- Holds a recognisedLevel 3 Early Years qualification, up-to-date paediatric first aid training, safeguarding training and is registered with the DBS update service.
- Has a genuine passion for working with children aged 0-5
- Enjoysvariety and working across different age groups
- Is flexible and happy to work in babies, toddlers and preschool
- Is reliable and committed to their role
- Is warm, caring, patient and approachable
- Has a good understanding of the EYFS and child development
- Can provide nurturing, responsive interactions
- Works well as part of a small team
- Is confident communicating with colleagues and parents/carers
- Can use their own initiative
- Is willing to support with general nursery duties and lunch cover
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare
- Is keen to continue developing their knowledge and skills
