Nursery Practitioner - Haywards Heath

£94 - £110 per day

A well-established nursery in Haywards Heath is seeking a dependable and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to support their early years provision. The setting is looking for someone who can bring kindness, consistency, and confidence to the room while helping children feel safe, settled, and ready to learn.

This Nursery Practitioner role would suit someone who is qualified in early years and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team. The nursery has clear routines in place and is keen to welcome a staff member who can support children through play, communication, and everyday care.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will help provide a positive and stimulating environment where children can develop socially, emotionally, and physically.

Pay rate

Per day £94 - £110 depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting children in an early years setting
  • Helping to deliver play-based activities
  • Supporting daily routines including meals, naps, and personal care
  • Encouraging children's independence and confidence
  • Maintaining a safe and tidy learning environment
  • Working alongside room leaders and nursery colleagues
  • Supporting observations and early years development
Requirements
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification, or higher
  • Previous nursery or early years experience
  • A warm, calm, and professional approach
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Good understanding of safeguarding in early years
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
