Job Description
Nursery Manager - Maples Day Nursery

Location: Maples Day Nursery, Winchester, SO22 6RT.

Contract: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks a year. Working pattern: Varied shifts Monday Friday between 07 30. Salary: £42,178.50 £55,419 per annum (pro rata) plus discretionary bonus scheme. Reporting to: Area Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a nursery with a capacity of 124 places.
  • Deliver against the corporate plan, meeting occupancy, financial and staff retention targets.
  • Provide exemplary customer care and maintain the nursery's strong reputation.
  • Ensure the well being of children and staff, safeguarding best practice, and effective communication and leadership.
Qualifications
  • DfE approved early years qualification at Level 3 or above.
  • Current or very recent experience managing a large early years setting.
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS, with experience of mentoring and coaching staff.
  • Advocacy for safeguarding and a proactive approach to child protection.
  • Collaborative working with the Area Manager and Regional Director.
Requirements
  • Must reside within commutable distance of the nursery and hold suitable Right to Work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Subject to enhanced DBS check and other safer recruitment checks.
