Domestic Assistant

• Location: Willows Day Nursery Stoke Mandeville HP21 8BD
• Contract: Permanent - 25 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
• Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 15:00-20:00
• Salary: £25,096.50 per annum (pro rated) - £12.87 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain exceptional standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the nursery.
• Perform professional house keeping tasks such as emptying bins, sweeping and mopping floors, dusting, and maintaining restocking supplies in bathrooms and kitchens.
• Support the kitchen team with washing up duties and care of laundry.
• Apply knowledge of COSHH and use initiative to uphold a safe environment.
• Advocate for safeguarding and ensure the well being of every child and adult within the nursery.
• Collaborate with colleagues, building supportive and respectful relationships.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience as a professional housekeeper or cleaner.
• Strong knowledge of hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Familiarity with COSHH and the ability to apply it effectively.
• Initiative, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
• Understanding of safeguarding procedures and commitment to child protection.
• Team working skills and a collaborative approach.
