Market Harborough and Bosworth Partnership is seeking an experienced and motivated Nurse Manager to join our established GMS nursing team. This key role involves leading, supporting, and developing our practice nurses and healthcare assistants, with a strong focus on maintaining high standards of clinical care and patient safety.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience leading / managing a nursing team in either primary or secondary care and will be excited by the challenge of a large, multi-site partnership. The role is anticipated to involve a 70/30 split between management and clinical duties, although this balance will be shaped by the successful candidate once in post.
Main duties of the jobYou will have responsibility for overseeing cold chainmanagement, clinical audits, and the implementation of policies and procedures.You will actively contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, and service development, working closely with GPs and the Practice Manager. In addition, you will manage all nursing resources to ensure alignment with the partnership's business priorities.
You will ensure that HR processes are followed effectively through robust appraisal and performance management, with support from the Practice Manager for more complex HR matters.
Applicants must demonstrate strong clinical experience, particularly in the delivery of evidence-based care for long-term conditions, immunisations, and screening programmes.

We have a branch site at St Lukes Treatment Centre where we run the local MIU, minor illness clinics, and our dedicated care home team. We are a teaching and training practice, research active, and deliver multiple enhanced services alongside our GMS contract.
You will be joining a multidisciplinary team of over 130 staff, working alongside GPs, administrators, nursing staff, and allied healthcare professionals within a single-partnership PCN. Person Specification Qualifications- Registered General Nurse (Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council).
- Recent and relevant experience in primary care.
- Post registration experience (Minimum 3 years)
- Experience in the Management of patients with Long-term conditions.
- Proven ability to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of own clinic practice.
- Understanding of evidence-based practice.
- Knowledge of national standards that inform practice (eg. QOF, NICE guidelines etc.)
- Understanding of systems to gain understand of the health needs of the practice population as they relate to Primary Care.
- Understanding of infection prevention and control measures in clinical practice.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of MS office, Word, Excel, EMIS and/or other Clinical Software.
- Good organisational skills.
- The ability to work under pressure.
- Clinical Leadership skills.
- Hep-B vaccinated or willing to be vaccinated.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to maintain the consistent delivery of high-quality services.
- Mentorship and working with pre-registration student nurses.
