We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Teachers to join our SEN school in Penarth where you will gain valuable hands on experience and learn how to cater to a range of complex ALN. This unique opportunity will grow your confidence in leading a class and participating as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team that aims to create a safe and nurturing environment for all learners. Our school aims to support every child and give them the confidence they need to lead a happy and healthy life in their next steps after school.
About the Role- Deliver targeted interventions and specialist teaching to pupils across EYFS to KS5.
- Support pupils with complex learning barriers and progress their confidence and their social, emotional and communication skills.
- Use multi sensory approaches and work cooperatively with specialist multidisciplinary teams to advance and deliver these.
- Monitoring and assessing pupils progress and providing updates for pupils, parents/guardians and other teaching staff.
- Creating and maintaining a safe and supportive environment that encourages expression and learning simultaneously.
- Awarded a PGCE and now looking to gain your QTS.
- Good knowledge on how to adapt the curriculum for children with SEN.
- Enthusiastic, reliable, resilient and able to create a fun learning environment.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, peers and parents.
- Clear understanding of safeguarding.
