We are proud to be working with a long-established and highly regarded business in the construction equipment sector to recruit an Area Sales Manager for the Northwest. With decades of industry experience, they are known for their strong client base, premium product range, and commitment to service excellence.

The successful candidate will take ownership of a key sales territory across Manchester, Warrington, North Wales, Blackpool, Crewe, and surrounding areas. This is a field-based role with minimal office requirements, offering excellent earning potential and the opportunity to work with some of the most recognised machinery brands in the industry.

This position is suited to professionals with experience in plant, tool, or technical machinery sales. You must be confident generating new leads, managing your own time, and building long-term customer relationships.

As part of the package, the company offers a competitive salary of up to £45,000 basic, uncapped commission (realistic OTE £2-3k/month), a Tesla-equivalent electric or hybrid company car, mobile phone, tablet, Medicash healthcare, company pension, and 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, rising with service.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage and grow an established client base across the Northwest
• Identify and develop new business opportunities
• Maximise field time through effective journey planning and customer prioritisation
• Promote technical machinery solutions and prepare quotations
• Represent the business at trade shows and industry events

Skills and Experience

• Sales experience in construction, plant, or capital equipment sectors
• Strong technical understanding and ability to explain machinery functions
• Proven ability to work independently in a field-based role
• Confident generating leads through prospecting and client visits
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills
• IT proficient, with experience using tablets or CRM systems
• Full clean UK driving licence
• Willingness to travel within the Northwest, with occasional wider travel
