Non-Functional Test Consultant

Start: ASAP
Duration: 6+ months
Location: Warwick (3 days per week on site)
Pay: £400-410 /day (inside IR35)

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of Non-Functional Testing strategies (performance, scalability, reliability, etc.)
• Deliver Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT) and performance testing across complex, real-time systems
• Create custom load-generation solutions for proprietary protocols
• Architect NFT solutions for diverse and evolving solution architectures
• Report and track performance KPIs using tools like Power BI, JIRA, X-Ray, and JQL
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and operational teams to ensure end-to-end system quality

Essential Skills & Experience

• Expert-level proficiency in multiple Performance Testing tools (e.g., Neoload, LoginVS)
• Proven ability to develop custom solutions for load generation
• Strong experience in Application Operational Acceptance Testing
• Deep understanding of solution architecture and NFT solution design
• Good working knowledge of SCADA, Real-Time Control Systems, and Network Monitoring Systems (NMS)
• Experience working with OSI Aspentech / DGM products (preferred)
• Solid grounding in Electricity Transmission or similar industry domains
• Familiarity with industry standards: IEC101, IEC104, GI74, IEC 61850, IEEE standards
• Knowledge of Security Architectures and principles
