Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced commercial events management and hospitality professional to join its Board. You will be involved in providing strategic guidance and oversight on the commercial growth and development of BAFTA's events and hospitality portfolio. You will ideally have extensive experience in leading high-profile, large-scale events and hospitality operations, with a proven track record in driving revenue growth, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and establishing strong partnerships within the entertainment, arts, or creative industries. This is a unique opportunity as the selected candidate will also sit on BAFTA Enterprise Limited.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Strategic Leadership in Events and Hospitality
- Oversee Revenue Growth and Business Development
- Ensure Operational Excellence and Quality Control
- Build Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership Development
- Provide oversight on the Governance and Risk Management of BAFTA's events and hospitality operations
- Board Participation and Collaboration
- Term - Initial term of 2 years maximum of 6 years
- Meetings - Attendance at 6 meetings per year (minimum), typically held on an 8-weekly basis
- Additional Commitments - This role will also sit on BAFTA Enterprise Limited and is therefore expected to attend those meetings and carry out responsibilities of the committee as prescribed by the Board in the terms of reference for the committee. Participation in special events and other Academy activities as needed.
