About the RoleWe're looking for a Non-Domestic BER Assessor who understands buildings holistically, from fabric to HVAC systems to real operational performance.
Yes, you'll deliver BERs and Part L assessments, but more importantly, you'll:
- Advise clients on real pathways to reduce energy and carbon
- Contribute to meaningful sustainability outcomes
- Grow into more advanced modelling and performance analysis
- Deliver Non-Domestic BER & Part L assessments
- Analyse building designs, systems, and site data
- Identify energy optimisation opportunities for clients
- Produce clear, actionable reports
- Engage with architects, engineers, building owners and other stakeholders
- Stay at the forefront of regulatory & industry developments
- Degree in Building Services / Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
- SEAI non-domestic BER Assessor (or working towards)
- Strong understanding of NEAP & Part L
- Experience completing BER and Part L assessment using DesignBuilder or IES VE
- Ability to interpret M&E designs and construction documentation
- Confident with site surveys and real-world building systems
- Strong communicator who provides clarity to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Advanced modelling experience (TM54, LEED PRM, etc.)
- Energy auditing (S.I. 426)
- HVAC commissioning or similar on-site experience
- BMS knowledge
- Energy Management certifications (CEM, CMVP)
