NOC Engineer required - WAN/LAN/WLAN, Cisco, Firewalls, Infoblox, ITIL required in the West Midlands (Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Coventry, Telford, Shrewsbury, Worcester etc) to join a leading organisation supporting enterprise network environments.
This is a permanent or fixed term contract opportunity with a hybrid working model, offering a competitive annual salary.
Key Requirements
- Supporting and maintaining WAN, LAN, and WLAN environments
- Handling incidents, service requests, and network changes in a live environment
- Configuring and troubleshooting Routers, Switches, and Firewalls
- Experience in a NOC or operational support environment
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (eg SolarWinds, Nagios, Cisco tools)
- Working knowledge of DNS/DHCP/IPAM (Infoblox preferred)
- Experience with VPN technologies (eg GlobalProtect)
- Using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (routing, switching, security)
- Working within ITIL-based processes
- CCNA (or equivalent experience)
- Understanding of Data Centre environments
- Exposure to Firewall/WAF logging and analysis
- ITIL certification
