NNDR Inspector

Salary: £20,814 - £24,486 (Pro Rata)

Location: Swindon

Contract: Permanent, Part-Time (19 hours per week)

Venn Group is currently recruiting for a Visiting Officer (Business Rates) on behalf of a local authority client. This role involves carrying out inspections of business premises across the Swindon area to support the delivery of Business Rates (NNDR) services.

You will be responsible for gathering and verifying information, producing detailed reports, and supporting businesses and the local council with accurate data and advice.

• Carry out NNDR inspection visits across the district
• Provide advice on discounts, exemptions, and business rates matters
• Support businesses with applications and changes
• Gather and verify evidence during site visits
• Deliver notifications and completion notices where required
• Produce accurate reports following inspections
• Support general revenues processing activities
• Assist with reviews of reliefs and new developments
• Maintain strong working relationships with local businesses

The successful candidate must have previously worked in a Business Rates role.
