GVC is proud to be working closely with a truly independent, well-respected veterinary practice based in the beautiful county of Norfolk, as they look to expand their out-of-hours team with the addition of a dedicated Night Veterinary Surgeon.

About the Practice:
This thriving, independent small animal and exotic veterinary clinic prides itself on excellent client care, continuity, and a real team ethos. You'll be working in a purpose-built, well-equipped practice, alongside a team that puts patient welfare and team collaboration above all else.
They see a fascinating caseload of both small animals and exotics (exotics experience is welcomed but not essential - rabbit experience is a must). The night team works closely with the day team to ensure smooth case handovers and a seamless service.
Your Role & Responsibilities:
Provide OOH care across a varied caseload including emergencies, hospitalised inpatients, and late consultations.
Work 7 nights on / 21 nights off, Monday to Monday, allowing for exceptional work-life balance.
Shift Hours: 6:30PM to 8:30AM (handovers with day team 6:30PM-7AM).
Twilight Consulting Service: You'll assist with later client consultations between 7:30PM - 9:30PM.
Work sole charge overnight, supported by an experienced night RVN at all times.
Handle emergency cases, monitor inpatients, and manage your time for adequate rest during quieter periods.
What You'll Need:
Minimum 2 years' UK veterinary experience.
Competence and confidence in working sole charge overnight.
Comfortable with emergency medicine and inpatient care.
Rabbit medicine/surgery experience essential.
Exotic animal experience a bonus but not required.
A team player with strong communication and clinical reasoning skills.
Sound, confident knowledge base with a passion for providing continuity of care.

Accommodation:
A charming lodge next to the practice (located in the owner's outhouse) is provided for your working week - ideal for a restful sleep between shifts.
Salary & Package:
£58,000 to £68,000 DOE
Accommodation included for working week
