G&A Security is expanding and we are now recruiting Night Shift Security Guards to support our growing operations across County Durham and the Tees Valley.

This is a key role for reliable, professional, and customer-focused individuals who can deliver a visible security presence, respond effectively to incidents, and uphold the high standards our clients expect.

You will be working across a variety of customer sites including commercial, industrial, and public-sector environments, supporting our security operations through overnight guarding and patrols.

As a Night Shift Security Guard, your duties will include:

• Conducting regular patrols and security checks (internal and external)
• Monitoring and maintaining site safety and security
• Access control - signing visitors in/out and managing entry points where required
• Reporting and documenting incidents accurately using company procedures
• Responding calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, or suspicious activity
• Liaising with our in-house Control Room and duty management team when required
• Maintaining a professional image and strong customer service standards at all times

We're looking for individuals who are:

• Professional, reliable and punctual
• Confident working independently during night hours
• Strong communicators with a calm approach under pressure
• Comfortable carrying out foot patrols and remaining alert throughout shifts
• Able to travel across County Durham / Tees Valley for regional cover

• A valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding licence
• A strong understanding of professional conduct and customer service
• Good written and verbal English (for report writing and incident updates)
• The ability to work nights, weekends, and bank holidays as required
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
