Job Description
A leading employee-owned food production business in Alness is seeking a reliable, hardworking Hygiene Operative to join their dedicated night shift team.
This role plays a vital part in ensuring the site is thoroughly cleaned and ready for production each morning. If you have a keen eye for detail, a methodical approach and the stamina for physical work, we would love to hear from you.
Pay and benefits- Competitive Hourly Rate: £13.45per hour + £3 per hour night shift allowance
- Enhanced Overtime Pay: £20.18 per hour + £3 per hour night shift allowance for hours worked above 37.52 per week, £26.90 + £3 per hour night shift allowance for hours worked above 37.52 on Sundays
- Holiday Entitlement: Enhanced leave after 12 weeks in post
- Longer Shifts, Fewer Days: 10-hour shifts (8pm to 6am, 37.52 hours paid) mean fewer commutes and more consolidated working hours
- Optional Weekend Overtime: Flexibility to boost your earnings with overtime available depending on production requirements
- Job Stability: Steady hours, initially on an agency contract, with the opportunity to transfer to permanent employment providing standards are met
- Deep cleaning machinery and production areas using chemicals, hoses and other equipment
- Dismantling equipment safely
- Following documented hygiene procedures and schedules
- Maintaining accurate documentation and records
- Physical activity throughout the shift including manual handling and working on your feet
- Following strict health & safety protocols, including escalation of any issues
- Recent experience in a manual role or industrial cleaning/hygiene environment
- Experience of working on a night shift pattern
- Willingness to learn - full training provided on chemicals, equipment and procedures
- A strong work ethic and reliability
- Commitment to maintaining high standards
- Flexibility for overtime in line with production needs
