Night Replenishment, Supermarket Assistant

About the Role

As a Supermarket Assistant, you will provide partner led service and passion for food to customers, helping to maintain the Waitrose brand. Your driving factor is to go the extra mile in creating a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment - keep shelves fully stocked and products in the correct location.
• Fulfilling online customer orders for delivery drivers.
• Reducing wastage by adhering to product due diligence and markdowns for items approaching sell by dates.
• Supporting the wider shop team, including checkout assistance, managing Click & Collect orders, filling on demand orders, and other shop keeping tasks.
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Effective communication skills to work as part of a team and with customers.
• Legal requirement: must be 18 years of age or older.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Background in a customer facing role.
• Up to date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends.
• Flexible approach to support the whole branch.

Compensation and Hours

Pay: £13.00 per hour (£13.25 per hour after 90 days). Night Premium of £3.75 per hour applies to shifts between 22:00 and 06:00.

Contract Type: Temporary

Hours of Work: Part time, up to 17 hours per week, working Thursday and Friday 19:00-02:00 or 22:00-07:00.
