Night Replenishment, Supermarket Assistant

About the Role

As a Supermarket Assistant, you'll help create a positive experience for customers on every visit, delivering partner led service and a passion for food that sets the Waitrose brand apart. You are expected to go the extra mile to earn customer trust and loyalty.

Night Premium at a rate of £3.75 per hour applies to any time worked between 22:00-06:00, including for existing partners enrolled in Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.

Due to working time regulations, applicants must be 18 years or over to apply.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment - keep shelves full and products in the right place at the right time.
• Fulfilling online customer orders ready for drivers to deliver directly to customers' doors.
• Reduce wastage by following product due diligence and marking down items approaching sell by dates.
• Support the wider shop team as needed, including checkout support, managing Click & Collect orders, on demand customer orders, and more.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment with general shop keeping tasks.

Essential skills and experience

• Communication skills to work effectively as part of a team and with customers.

Desirable skills and experience

• Experience in a customer facing role.
• Up to date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends.
• Flexible approach to support the whole branch.
