Responsibilities

• Drive strategy into action: Plan and execute all trading activity on the shop floor during the night shift, ensuring delivery is date rotated and waste and returns are managed correctly, limiting damage through replenishment (only for Supermarket and Superstores/centres with no Lead Night Manager in structure).
• Lead with impact: Lead and coach night colleagues and team leaders to deliver excellent shop floor standards while creating a culture of selling customers with personality, serving with heart and pride, and getting one more item in every basket.
• Execution focused: Ensure the shop floor is landed and presentable for customers before handing over to the day team with promotion, foyer and hot spots fit for trade.
• Talent Development: Listen with empathy, drive resilience, encourage ownership and passion for the business by bringing the "Asdaness" to work daily and supporting the development of the team, creating an environment where people feel valued, trusted and motivated to step up.
• Overall store oversight: Be solely responsible for the store through the night, confident in overseeing operation as a whole where the store is open 24 hours.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or managing teams in a retail grocery environment, ideally overnight.
• Ability to make decisions independently with a hands on attitude and a drive to improve processes and people.
• Confidence in developing teams and managing change.
• Strong customer service focus.
• Flexibility to work a range of night shifts, including weekends.
