The Role

As a Night Duty Manager, you will:

  • Oversee the entire hotel operation during nighttime hours, acting as the most senior decision-maker on duty.
  • Lead front office, housekeeping, security, and F&B teams overnight to ensure a seamless, five-star guest experience.
  • Resolve guest issues with professionalism, empathy, and timely service recovery.
  • Conduct thorough property rounds, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and operational readiness for the day team.
  • Manage overnight reports, incident logs, and guest follow-ups, ensuring clear and detailed communication.
  • Monitor security and safety protocols, responding to emergencies and coordinating incident management.
  • Support the night audit process and ensure financial accuracy in guest billing and reconciliations.
  • Work collaboratively with department leaders to ensure continuity, compliance, and operational excellence.

About You

You will have:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial night role within a luxury hotel.
  • Strong confidence in decision-making and handling operational challenges calmly and professionally.
  • Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail and high personal integrity.
  • A warm, guest-centric approach and the ability to lead by example.
  • A collaborative attitude and the desire to support and develop your team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee all night operations across Front Office, Security, Housekeeping, and F&B outlets.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for guests overnight, delivering intuitive, personalised service.
  • Ensure safety and security procedures are upheld, including emergency response and incident management.
  • Complete detailed property checks, maintenance reporting, and overnight operational tasks.
  • Manage night audit accuracy, financial controls, and ledger reconciliation.
  • Prepare comprehensive handovers for morning management and action outstanding issues.
  • Support colleague wellbeing and performance during night shifts, ensuring clarity of roles and teamwork.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, licensing, Health & Safety, and guest privacy standards.
