This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (child and/or adult), an application must be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before starting in the role.

The role involves independently providing comprehensive specialist assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, onward referral, and discharge to a complex range of patients referred to the service.

The post holder will supervise physiotherapists, assistant practitioners, clinical support workers, and physiotherapy students.

The post holder will deputise for the team lead in meetings related to the specialist clinical area and develop/deliver training programs for professionals and carers to educate them on therapy processes and interventions related to patients' medical and social needs.
