Hywel Dda University Health Board is recruiting a Catering Assistant to join the Catering Department at Withybush General Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity to work within the NHS while contributing to the delivery of high-quality catering and cleaning services in a busy hospital environment.
The successful candidate will support the catering team by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, assisting with food service, and providing excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.
Eligible international applicants may be considered for Skilled Worker or Health and Care visa sponsorship, subject to UK immigration requirements.
Job Details- Position: Catering Assistant

- Location: Withybush General Hospital, Wales
- Hours: 15 hours per week
- Shift Pattern: Monday to Sunday, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm (five evenings per week)
- Contract: Part-time
- Training: Full training provided
As a Catering Assistant, you will:
- Prepare and serve meals in the hospital cafeteria.
- Deliver excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.
- Process cash and card payments accurately.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the catering department.
- Support food preparation and service operations.
- Follow NHS hygiene, health and safety, and infection control procedures.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure an efficient catering service.
- Uphold the values and standards of Hywel Dda University Health Board.
