Job Description

Leading regional law firm is looking to appoint a Newly Qualified Commercial Litigation Solicitor into their team in the Exeter office. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Play an active role in developing the commercial litigation department.
  2. Handle a caseload including shareholder disputes, contentious probate, building disputes, professional negligence disputes, and partnership disputes.
  3. Work directly alongside the partner, contributing to the growth of the department.
  4. Engage in all aspects of commercial litigation, including disclosure, case management, drafting witness statements, attending trials, and participating in settlement negotiations, arbitration, and mediation.
  5. Business development and marketing within the regional market.
Candidate Requirements:
  1. Qualified Solicitor with a genuine passion for Commercial Litigation.
  2. Some experience in commercial litigation, ideally within a leading national or regional law firm.
  3. Experience handling a mixed caseload and advising UK and international clients, including corporations, governments, and high net worth individuals.
  4. Strong network of regional contacts.
  5. Keen to develop their career and demonstrate proven experience in the litigation process.
  6. Willingness to business develop and market in the local area.
