Manufacturing Engineer - New Model Introduction
Location: Surrey
Contract: 9 Months
Rate: £30 per hour
We're working with a prestigious automotive manufacturer known for delivering high-performance, low-volume vehicles. As they continue to push boundaries with innovative new model launches, they are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their growing team on a contract basis.
Role Overview
This is a unique opportunity to be at the heart of the new vehicle introduction (NVI) process. You'll be responsible for developing assembly processes from concept through to series production - playing a pivotal role in turning cutting-edge designs into real-world manufacturing success.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop vehicle assembly concepts (virtual & physical)
- Generate & maintain PFMEA and Hours Per Car (HPC) reporting.
- Lead line balancing, time & motion studies, and layout planning
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Engineering & Operations
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or related Engineering discipline
- Experience in new vehicle program planning and launch execution.
- Strong understanding of trim & final assembly, end-of-line processes.
