About the Practice and Locations:
This RCVS-accredited, independently owned group has been caring for the local pet community for over 50 years. Based across several coastal and countryside locations in South Devon , their practices are modern, well-equipped, and ideally situated for a great work-life balance. Facilities include CT, digital radiography, ultrasound scanners (with Doppler), full IDEXX lab, microscopy, endoscopy, laparoscopy, and dental suites. The team boasts certificate holders in areas including cardiology, dermatology, surgery, ophthalmology, dentistry, and emergency medicine.
About the Role:
Full-time, 40-hour week
Structured two-year new graduate programme aimed at developing core consulting and surgical skills, building up to confident sole-charge practice ️
Generous out-of-hours rota with inpatient care only, supported by senior vets and experienced nurses
Strong mentorship and support network with 5 VetGDP advisors ️ ️
Career progression encouraged, particularly into advanced surgery or dentistry
About the Team:
Graduates will join a friendly, collaborative, and experienced team who value mentorship, career development, and wellbeing. Benefits:
Starting salary of £35,000 (including accommodation allowance), rising to £38,000 in year two
6 weeks holiday (including bank holidays) plus your birthday off

RCVS and VDS fees paid
CPD actively encouraged with generous allowance - past CPD destinations have included Florida, Luxembourg, Austria, and Barcelona! ️
Accommodation provided (1-bed or 2-bed flat) including utilities (excluding council tax) OR accommodation allowance
Business mileage paid; practice van available for visits
Fantastic location near beaches, Dartmoor, and within easy reach of Exeter and excellent transport links
Driving licence and own transport required
To Be Considered:
Applicants must be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon eligible to register with the RCVS. A full driving licence and access to personal transport are essential.
