A well regarded and forward thinking law firm in Cardiff is seeking a Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join its growing dispute resolution team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with an experienced partner and to play a key role in the continued development of a busy commercial litigation practice. The firm is known for its modern and pragmatic approach, providing high quality advice to a broad range of commercial clients.

The Role

The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of commercial litigation matters and will work closely with senior colleagues on more complex disputes. The role offers strong client exposure and genuine responsibility from the outset.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of commercial disputes including breach of contract claims, shareholder and partnership disputes, debt recovery, professional negligence and general contractual matters
• Advising clients on pre action strategy, risk and settlement options
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements and settlement agreements
• Conducting negotiations and representing clients at mediations and court hearings
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver commercially focused solutions
• Contributing to business development initiatives and maintaining strong client relationships

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with experience in commercial litigation
• Strong technical ability and a sound understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules
• Confident communicator with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
• Commercially aware with a pragmatic and solution focused approach
• Able to manage competing deadlines and work effectively within a team environment
