We are looking for an innovative, adaptable, and results-oriented Network Security Engineer for our Network Security team. This position is based in Warwick with a flexible hybrid working policy.

Key Accountabilities- Coordinate regulatory engagement activities
- Manage regulatory reporting submissions to ensure alignment with Security activities
- Work with senior cyber analysts to prepare materials for external meetings and review deliverables for quality and consistency
- Support the development of forward-looking investment plans
- Ensure security strategy ambitions are deployed and adhered to
- Assist in report writing and investment paper development
- Coordinate with Security management for regulatory and wider reporting, including Executive and Board reports
- Promote change management and continuous improvement within the team by sharing best practices and developing tools and enablers
As a Network Security Engineer in our Network Security Operations Center (NSOC), you'll manage day-to-day Network Security capabilities, handle incident, change, and problem management activities, and seek opportunities to enhance the NSOC's capabilities and workflows. You'll collaborate with stakeholders to optimize security and improve user experience. This role may require you to field calls outside of regular hours. Key responsibilities include:
- Gather requirements, assess risks, and implement firewall changes to meet business needs
- Triage connectivity issues and implement configuration changes as needed
- Provide guidance on operating, maintaining, and enhancing Network Security capabilities
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure services meet requirements
- Cross-train with team members for professional development
- Identify trends and develop remediation plans for recurring incidents
- A degree in Cyber Security or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Hands-on experience with security technologies such as Palo Alto and Cisco Fire Power
- Experience with incident and change management in a large enterprise environment
- Experience supporting and optimizing network security capabilities
- Understanding of networking protocols, cloud infrastructures, routing, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, load balancing, and related devices
- Certifications such as Cisco CCIE Security, Checkpoint CCSE/CCSM, Palo Alto PCNSE, F5 201/401, Zscaler ZDTA/ZTCA are a plus
A competitive salary between £50,000 - £60,000, dependent on experience. Additionally, you will receive a bonus based on performance, a contributory pension scheme with double matching up to 12%, and flexible benefits including share plans, salary sacrifice schemes, support lines, and charitable giving options.
