Responsibilities:

  • Lead a multidisciplinary LAN team, embedding a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement
  • Act as the primary contact for internal LAN-related services, including support for bids, tenders, and pre-sales activity
  • Manage team performance, conduct regular 1:1s, and identify training and development opportunities
  • Oversee project delivery, ensuring work is completed on time, to budget, and to high standards
  • Drive operational improvements, customer satisfaction, and commercial success
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients through service reviews and issue escalations
  • Collaborate with Sales, Project, and Support teams to align service delivery with pipeline demand
  • Track and act on customer feedback (CSAT/NPS), implementing meaningful service improvements
  • Work closely with suppliers to manage performance, SLAs, and escalation procedures
  • Ensure effective use of internal knowledge resources and handover processes between projects and support
  • Maintain spare stock for key clients and plan resources effectively for business-as-usual and project work

Skills/Must have:

  • 5+ years in a service delivery or engineering management role
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing distributed technical teams
  • Strong understanding of LAN environments and managed service operations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and service management best practices
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to align technical delivery to business objectives
  • Analytical, solution-oriented mindset, with strong organisational skills
  • Experience using ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow)
  • ITIL Foundation certification

Desired (not essential):

  • Knowledge of Extreme Networks products
  • Previous experience supporting NHS or other public sector environments
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds)
  • Interest in or experience with automation in support workflows

Salary:

  • Up to £70,000 basic salary per annum
