Position Summary & Primary Objectives

The Consultant - NIS is responsible for ensuring that project work that is delivered to the client is outcome focused and remains appropriate for their business requirements.

The successful candidate will have projects experience from either Infrastructure, Networks or Security and enjoy client interactions.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the delivery of cyber security projects aligned with the service catalogue
  • Manage and develop relationships with clients, stakeholders and third parties/vendors
  • Work with NIS clients to assist them in identifying and effectively managing problems that can be solved through the value provided by the NIS Practice
  • Support development and implementation of new technologies within a systems environment by advising on design concepts and changes, implementation strategies, and deployment timelines
  • Design and develop high quality business solutions and other projects
  • Liaise with customers during preliminary installation and testing of developed solutions or products
  • Recognise and promptly advise leadership of potential issues and potential follow-on business opportunities
  • Ensure consulting services are delivered on time, within scope and within budget
  • Write detailed reports that document work completed and ensure that proposed system(s) and architecture(s) are consistent with client organisation's architecture guidelines and requirements
  • Continuously develop skills and knowledge around the relevant technologies and solutions inmarket
  • Actively collaborate across CyberCX, and continuously look for ways to add value.
  • Facilitate communication, partnerships and cross-pollination across the business to better engage and service customers.

Preferred Qualifications, Experience & Skills

  • Tertiary qualification in computer science, computer engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Professional level vendor certifications with CyberCX's core technology partners
  • A minimum of 3 years gained from working in professional services, cyber security and/or technology industry is preferred, with experience in security integration and engineering
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to build sustainable, scalable solutions and processes to meet complex operational problems
  • Skilled in responding to setbacks in an agile and resilient manner
