The Role

We are looking for a Network Field Services Engineer to join a growing Project Delivery team supporting customer network and security deployments across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer early in their career who is looking to gain hands on experience across enterprise networking environments, working with routing, switching, SD WAN, firewall technologies, and connectivity solutions.

The role is predominantly field based, involving onsite customer deployments alongside remote and hybrid working.

You will act as a professional front facing technical representative, working closely with internal teams, customers, and third party providers to deliver high quality infrastructure installations and support services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure and troubleshoot network and security infrastructure onsite and remotely
  • Support deployment activities across customer environments
  • Assist with implementation and change requests
  • Escalate technical issues in line with internal SLAs and support processes
  • Communicate professionally with customers and third party service providers
  • Produce accurate and high quality technical documentation
  • Support project delivery teams during installations and rollout activities
  • Work flexibly to meet customer and project requirements
You should have knowledge or exposure to:
  • TCP/IP networking
  • Routing & Switching concepts
  • DNS, DHCP and IP addressing
  • Layer 2 / Layer 3 networking
  • Exposure to SD WAN environments
  • Firewall installation and remote configuration
  • Routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP or MPLS
  • Internet connectivity deployments
  • DDI technologies (DNS, DHCP, IPAM)
  • Network monitoring tools using SNMP or APIs
  • ITSM or ticketing platforms (e.g. ServiceNow or similar)
Vendor Exposure (desirable)
  • Cisco / Cisco Meraki
  • Fortinet
  • Juniper Mist
  • HP Aruba / Silver Peak
  • Arista / VeloCloud
  • Infoblox
  • LogicMonitor

Vendor training will be provided to support ongoing development.
