VIQU have partnered with a globally recognised energy trading organisation operating within a highly regulated, security-critical environment. With business-critical systems supporting international operations, cyber security is a core priority rather than an afterthought.

This role is heavily weighted towards security, with network responsibilities forming part of a wider cyber defence remit.

The Role

As the Network & Security Specialist, you'll be the technical authority for cyber security operations, owning the end-to-end security life cycle across enterprise infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include:

• Security monitoring, threat hunting and incident response
• SIEM, MDR oversight and vulnerability management
• Firewall, VPN, IDS/IPS and Zero Trust technologies
• Pen testing coordination and CVSS-led remediation
• Security architecture planning, policies and disaster recovery

Core Technology Stack

• Security: Checkpoint, Cisco ISE, Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA/ZDX), Splunk, Sophos MDR, Mimecast, Okta
• Networking: Cisco (Catalyst, Nexus), Fortinet, Firewalls and VPNs
• Security Ops: SIEM, intrusion detection, ethical hacking
• Scripting: PowerShell

What They're Looking For

• Proven experience in a security-focused infrastructure role
• Strong hands-on expertise with Firewalls, SIEM and threat detection
• Experience in regulated or high-risk environments (preferred)
• CCNA/CCNP or equivalent security certifications
