As a Neighbourhood Cohesion Officer you will be working with internal colleagues and external partners you will develop a range of partnerships across Prima stock to meet the needs of our communities, you will actively work within communities engaging stakeholders to understand needs, establish interventions and create opportunities for customers and communities.

You will help develop thriving neighbourhoods by addressing, developing and delivering innovative and exciting community led engagement solutions.

Location: Flexible hybrid working arrangements between home and Prima offices (Columbus Quay or Twickenham Drive)

Salary: £35,984 Per Annum plus Essential Car User Allowance £1,460 Per Annum

Neighbourhood Cohesion Officer Main Duties:

Customers

• Initiate and encourage community cohesion by identifying barriers to engagement and contribute to the development of a flexible engagement structure that supports diversity.
• Empower communities to create a voice that can tackle their needs and represent their interests.
• Make recommendations for improvement based on the insight gained from customers
• Work collaboratively with internal colleagues on promoting transparency through Community Engagement to support Prima's accountability to the customer.
• Build local effective partnerships to improve services, training and work opportunities for customers and identify development or service opportunities for Prima.

Neighbourhoods

• Work with the Housing Team to develop and inform the Prima Community Plans, which respond to the opportunities and challenges in our neighbourhoods.
• To work as part of the sustainment and cohesion team to deliver events across our communities
• Identify and help secure funding and other resources for community-based initiatives / projects to support the potential within our communities.
• Use national and local data trends within communities to identify priorities
• Utilise internal and external funding bodies to support local groups and initiatives to tackle barriers and resident needs
• Provide reports to management and capture required
• Promote and capture social value cross communities
• To undertake any other duties to achieve personal, team and organisational

objectives.

Neighbourhood Cohesion Officer Person Requirements:

• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
• A relevant professional qualification or recognised degree is desirable
• Full driving licence and use of a car for work is essential
• Positive attitude to customers.
• Demonstrates drive and resilience.
• Self-starting and self-motivated.
• Does what it takes to get the right outcome.
• Confident

Skills & Competencies for the role:

• Experience of delivering face to face customer service with the ability to have honest conversations with customers
• Experience of working within a community-based role
• Experience of developing partnerships, working with support agencies, local authorities, and community partners
• Good understanding of the social, economic, and political context in the neighbourhoods in which we operate.
• Experience of using ICT systems - housing management, Customer Relationship Management systems and Microsoft office software.
• Understanding of social return on investment and experience of managing projects would be beneficial
• Understand of funding requirements and funding bodies
