Duties as Music Teacher:

• Teach Music across Key Stage 3
• Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons
• Encourage participation in practical and theoretical music activities
• Foster a love of music and performing arts
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progressMaintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
• Contribute to the wider life of the Music department where appropriate

Ideal Music Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching Music in a secondary school setting
• Strong classroom management skills
• Ability to engage and inspire students of varying abilities
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Passion for music education and student development
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
